Ellen Lupton is a designer, writer, curator, and graphic designer. She is Senior Curator of Contemporary Design at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City, where her recent projects include the book and exhibition “Graphic Design: Now in Production,” organized with the Walker Art Center. She is director of the Graphic Design MFA program at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. She is the author of numerous books on design, including Thinking with Type, Graphic Design: The New Basics, Graphic Design Thinking: Beyond Brainstorming, and Design Your Life.
